The one-year agreement includes some improvements to the working conditions for the membership. The agreement further provides an opportunity to address issues with scheduling, fatigue and the current backlog of disputes between the parties.
Fatigue countermeasures are critical to a safe operating environment and the TCRC is optimistic that, by applying the best available science in accordance with our guiding principles on fatigue management, we can improve safety and the quality of life for our membership.
Further details of the tentative agreement will not be released until the members have had a chance to review the document.
The tentative agreement affects approximately 3200 locomotive engineers, conductors, trainmen and yardmen at CP across the country.
